Addiction

Addiction  |  Details & Faq's  |  Illicit GHB |  Prevention

GHB addiction is new to the medical field. Many doctors and hospitals still do not understand the serious nature of withdrawal. There is help for your addiction. Please do not try to de-tox on your own.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Poison Control Centers and hospitals nationwide are beginning to report physical withdrawals from GHB. Reports of tolerance (increasing dose to get the same effect), frequent ingestion of GHB, every 1-3 hours around-the-clock with nighttime awakenings to re-dose (chronic ingestion with short dosing intervals is required for dependence due to the unusually rapid elimination of GHB from the body), and unsuccessful attempts to quit despite adverse consequences are also being reported.

Symptoms can be mild to severe depending on length of dependency and are listed respectfully.

Duration of GHB use from these reports: 2 months - 3 years.

Withdrawal symptoms include:

One death, during withdrawal, has been reported, on hospital day thirteen as the patients symptoms were improving.

Trying to withdraw from GHB has proven to be dangerous and life threatening. Seeking medical attention from a physician familiar with GHB is recommended.

We are working with professionals and members of the medical field to assist in providing you with facilities trained in GHB withdrawal. Unfortunately, GHB withdrawal is relatively new to the medical field. We will post the most recent information concerning this as it becomes available.
