4th Annual Michael's Message Golf Tournament

As a result of your generosity last October, we have visited several local schools and have shared this message with students, parents and administrators. Please join us for the 4th Annual Michael's Message Golf Tournament, November 5, 2011. This high-profile fun and fundraising event will help support Michael's Message, an EMMY-Award winning non-profit organization of the Treasure Coast. Since March of 2000 we have shared Michael’s Message with just over 700,000 students. We will have a great day of golf at the beautiful Indian Hills Golf Course in Fort Pierce, FL. The event will include a 4-person scramble,continental breakfast, lunch and awards reception following the golf. Register now and remember to invite your friends to play.

Michael’s Message is designed to reduce drug use by giving students tools they need to help themselves and encourages our youth to make healthy choices and remain drug-free. Michael’s Messages non-intrusive approach, allows students to initiate their own decisions as it relates to drug abuse, which decreases violence and chaos. Students have a change in attitude and a better understanding that the choices they make not only affect them, but their family, friends, and community.Students realize that they can no longer "just say no" they must help their friends say no and trade in the code of silence for speaking up and informing school officials on the dealers and users..
To battle drug use among our youth most effectively, the entire community must get involved; students, parents, faculty, law enforcement, and churches, we all must help. With your donation this message will continue to unite communities.
We all must unite together with a consistent and honest message that drug use is wrong, harmful, and deadly. By working together, we as parents and communities can teach our youth that drug use is dangerous and life threatening.
Michael's Message, Inc. “A Drug Awareness Program”, was founded shortly after our son Michael died of a drug overdose in 1998. The organization is dedicated to educating our youth and the public about Designer Drugs – the Date Rape Drug GHB (Gamma Hydroxybutyrate) as well as prescription drugs and other illicit substances through prevention and awareness to prevent what happened to him from happening to others. Education is considered by many to be the key to prevention. Knowledge is power! Many young people have been touched by Michael’s story, most of who have vowed to exclude drug use from their lives.
Michael’s Message is designed to challenge, inspire and motivate our youth to make healthy choices and give them the courage to stand strong be proud and know the consequences of their actions.
